Nagaland teacher among 46 to be conferred national award

Our Reporter Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): Mimi Yhoshu, Head Teacher of Government Middle School (GMS), Officer’s Hill, Kohima, has been selected for the National Awards to Teachers 2022 from Nagaland. 46 teachers have been selected from different states across India for the national award, while Yhoshu is the lone teacher from Nagaland. The awardees will be felicitated by President of India, Droupadi Murmu on September 5, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Six out of the 46 selected teachers are from the Northeast states, which include Nongmaithem Gautam Singh, Eastern Ideal High School, Imphal East, Manipur; Mala Jigdal Dorjee, Principal of Modern Senior Secondary School, Gangtok, Sikkim; Gamchi Timre R Marak, Head Teacher of Educere Higher Secondary School, East Garo Hills, Meghalaya; Santosh Nath, acting Head Teacher of South Mirzapur High School, South Tripura and Meenakshi  Goswami, Principal of CNS Higher Secondary School, Sonitpur, Assam.
