With the onset of winter, heavy snowfall in these areas necessitates the closure of the route. As a result, we need to prepare for next year’s biking trail, which will kick off next summer.” ....
The Manali-Leh national highway will be closed from November 20 onwards due to cold weather conditions and potential driving risks. The closure has been ordered by the administrations of Lahaul-Spiti and Ladakh as a preventive measure. The highway is expected to reopen in May next year after the snow on the road melts. Violators of the closure orders will face action. Vehicles will be allowed from Manali to Darcha depending on weather conditions. ....
