A popular church which is known as Household of David Church at Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja Lagos was on Wednesday morning gutted by fire. This was confirmed in a video shared by an X user, Olúwadámilọlá, showing the moment the worship centre was being destroyed by fire. SaharaReporters has yet to ascertain the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage it caused. 6,700 Traders, 450 Shops, Others Affected By Fire At Popular Mandilas Market In Lagos, Says Nigerian Emergency Agency, NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that about 6,700 traders, 450 shops, 30 offices, two hotels and five restaurants were affected by the fire incident which occurred on Sunday at Mandilas building on the Lagos Island, Lagos State. The agency disclosed in a statement obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday, noting that the figures were provided by the Iya Oja of the Atunwase International Market, Mandilas General, Alhaja Adeniji Rashidat.
