It is with very heavy hearts that the children of Ellwood Gerald (Rudy) Hanson announce his sudden passing on December 25, 2020 at his home at 330 Lillie Street North in Thunder Bay.
Born in Huntoon, Saskatchewan on February 18, 1928, Ellwood came to Fort William in 1948 and worked for Manitoba Pool Grain Elevators for 45 years until his retirement in 1993. Along with his mother, brothers and sisters, Ellwood was a dedicated chronicler and storyteller of the Hanson family history, and dearly loved the family reunions that had been held for decades. He loved his friends, his church, gardening, music, cooking and baking, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy and a good game of cribbage. ....
