KHUZDAR: Three brothers were killed and four people were injured when a car collided with a mini-truck on the Quetta-Karachi national highway in Surab district on Sunday. Levies Force officials said that six members of a family were on their way to Pishin from Karachi to celebrate Eid when they met with the accident in the Anjira area. As a result, three brothers identified as Tajuddin, Zainuddin and Inamuddin died on the spot. The car was completely destroyed in collision with the mini-truck. Four others, identified as Feroz Khan, Mohammad Imran, Azizuddin and Dilwar Khan, were injured in the incident. ....
One more milestone for Kaleswaram irrigation project April 06, 2021 Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today commissioned another irrigation project which is part of the action plan to bring one crore acres under assured water supply. Describing it as a milestone, KCR, along with senior ministers and officials, was present when the water from Kaleswaram, which had already reached to Mid Manair from Medigadda barrage, entered the Kondapochamma Sagar. This is a significant development as it is actually happening during summer, when most of the reservoirs go dry. He released water from Kondapochamma Sagar into Haldi Vaagu and through Manjira river it was diverted to Nizam Sagar. Later, Kondapochamma Sagar water was released to Gajwel canal to fill up about 20 tanks in Siddipet district. ....

Hyderabad: Households get free drinking water upto 20k litres per month By Sakina Fatima| Updated: 18th December 2020 6:27 pm IST PTI Photo Hyderabad: The Hyderabad’s water board is providing up to 20,000 litres of drinking water per month free of cost from December 5. This was after Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on November 23 promised free supply of drinking water to each and every household. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) will incur about Rs 35-40 crore per month or Rs 400 crore per annum by supplying the water, which would be reimbursed by the state government. A senior water board official was quoted by The New Indian Express saying, “We are fulfilling the promise made by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao last month to supply drinking water to households living in Greater Hyderabad limits.” ....
