A PSI and head constable made sure the man got on his flight home
A police sub-inspector of Sampangiram Nagar station and his colleague proved true friends to a stranded German citizen whose visa had expired and who is said to have lost his mental balance while touring the country with his family in November 2019. The
cops helped put Noah Finn (not his real name), who they found as he was being harassed by some youths, on a flight back home.

cremations in the city. While at some crematoriums, the cremations could not be carried out completely in once stretch, at others the
wood for the pyre was drenched as there was no shelter for it and at some, cremations could not be carried out at all. However, officials say they are prepared to keep the cremations going.
The Hebbal cremation ground that has both electric and open cremation, almost ran into big trouble during Wednesday night during the heavy downpour. The pyre wood that was kept out in the open was drenched as they could not shift the wooden logs to the shelter at the last minute and did not have enough tarpaulin sheets to cover all the wood. SKDRDP converts three training institutes into COVID care centres

Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), a non-governmental organisation, has turned its three training institutes into COVID care centres.
They are Janajagruti Madyamukta Samshodana Kendra at Ujire in Dakshina Kannda, Human Resource Training Centre, Mysuru, and Jnanavikasa Training Centre in Dharwad. Presently, 175 patients can be accommodated at these three centres. Provision has been made to increase the capacity of patients when required, its Executive President L. H. Manjunath said in a release on Monday.
The SKDRDP president D. Veerendra Heggade had given instructions in this regard, he said. ....
