RCMP Link Fort McMurray Man To Multiple Thefts Since July

Derek Marcel Cooper was arrested on December 2 after the Mounties linked multiple files to the same perpetrator. The police note Cooper allegedly stole three vehicles in Eagle Ridge and downtown from July to September. Each was discovered unoccupied shortly later. They also believe he broke into multiple vehicles in Abasand and downtown in September and October. This includes being tied to a vandalism spree at a parkade on King Street. ...
