Same report. this is just another report out now building on previously published findings. it is interesting because it gives us another perspective on this entire issue. it is giving more ammo to the governor s critics who believe his march 25th executive directive which required nursing homes to accept patients from hospitals caused thousands of deaths. here is the report. the new york state bar association task force on nursing homes and long-term care releasing this whopping 242 page report and part of that reads this. there are credible reviews that suggest that the directive for the approximately six weeks it was in effect led to a number of additional deaths. that s big. it doesn t say the directive was a mistake since the state was in this state of emergency during the pandemic at the time. but the report does find that the order should have been lifted much sooner. it was unreasonable to leave ....
