The DXY narrowed its losses from 0.30% over the past five trading sessions to 0.12%. Today it was hovering near the 103.88 mark against a basket of six major currencies and was down by 0.05 points or 0.05%.
Taking cues from the international prices, MCX April gold futures were trading at Rs 62,232 per 10 grams, up Rs 83 or 0.13% while the March Silver contracts were trading at Rs 69,340 per kg, higher by Rs 90 or 0.13%.
Spot gold was up 0.1% at $2,025.7 per ounce, as of 0411 GMT, and has gained 0.7% so far in the week. U.S. gold futures edged 0.2% higher to $2,035.3 per ounce.
The April gold futures were trading at Rs 62,150 per 10 grams on the MCX at 10:13 am and were up by Rs 42 or 0.07% from Wednesday's closing price. Meanwhile, the March Silver futures were trading at Rs 70,765 per kg and were higher by Rs 156 or 0.22% around this time.
Gold Price Today: The bias in gold was positive in the opening trade today with MCX April gold futures trading at Rs 62,210 per 10 grams, up by Rs 43 or 0.07% while the March Silver contracts were trading at Rs 71,421 per kg, higher by Rs 166 or 0.23%. Track prices here
