Auckland's once drought-depleted dams are finally back at normal levels, and restrictions on water use will be reviewed soon.

Auckland's water stores have finally almost fully recovered from a near-record drought, but restrictions will remain for some time.

Last week's severe rainfall means some of the water stored in the Waitākere Ranges is up to 500 times dirtier than normal.
