Five non-terrestrial network (NTN) providers have banded together to form the Mobile Satellite Services Association.
Satcom: MSSA aims to develop a global ecosystem utilising over 100MHz of L- and S-band spectrum already allocated and licensed for mobile satellite services (MSS), it said in a statement, adding that the association intends to align with the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards to extend terrestrial mobile coverage for both telecom operators and over-the-top (OTT) firms, the association said in a statement Friday.
