LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Mark Huesmann has defeated Candice Tlustosch in the race for La Crosse County, according to La Crosse County election data.
Mark Huesmann, appointed to the La Crosse County Circuit Court by Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, has been elected to a full 6-year term as a judge. Huesmann won 57% of the vote, while attorney Candice Tlustosch received 43%.
Outside spending has become a point of contention in the race for a seat on the bench in La Crosse County.

Across Wisconsin, 56 judicial elections will be on the ballot next week. But only 10 races for local judge are contested.
