With no formal training in art and sharing his love for art with children in Mitchell’s Plain earned Mark Jeneker an award from the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS).
It's a day of celebration for the community of Mitchells Plain as they formally celebrate the development of a new art centre in the area as a result of years of dedication from community activist, Mark Jeneker in collaboration with the NGO, Baz-Art.
Community arts educator and activist Mark Jeneker will lead the arts programme at the centre, which will be based at Portland Primary School.
