PNS/ In a major setback to the Punjab Government, the Centre has reduced the Market Development Fee (MDF) to two per cent and Rural Development Fee (RDF) to zero per cent in the provisional cost sheet for wheat procurement issued to the State Government — a move set to cost the state
The central government has now reduced Market Development Fee to 2% and Rural Development Fee to 0% in the provisional cost sheet for wheat procurement issued to the state government.
However, the cash-strapped state government has written back to the Union government asking for releasing the pending RDF amounting to Rs 2872.40 crore.
