Mar 17, 2021 MARQUETTE The Marquette City Clerk’s office is now accepting nominating petitions for the city elective offices to be filled this year. There will be two vacancies on the Marquette Board of Light and Power and two vacancies on the Marquette City Commission. Packets containing nominating petition forms, the required certificates and information sheets are available from the Marquette City Clerk’s Office. Presently, City Hall is closed to the public, but these materials are available for pick-up in person. In order to obtain nominating forms and related documents, residents are asked to contact the city clerk’s office at 225-8667 to schedule a time to pick up the necessary materials. ....
ABC 10/CW5 The Marquette City Clerk is accepting nominating petitions for city commission and Board of Light and Power seats. Mayor Jenna Smith and Mayor Pro-Tem Jen Hill’s terms will expire in November. There are also two vacancies on the BLP. Nomination packets are available at the Marquette City Clerk’s office. The deadline for filing a petition is 4 p.m. on April 20th. The primary election to fill all four seats will be held on August 3. Candidates who win the primary will appear on the ballot during the November 2 election. ....
