China s first independent Mars mission was launched on July 23, 2020, from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan province.
Tianwen-1 also entered a Martian orbit during the second week of February the day after the EMM and two days before the Chinese New Year. 
A Chinese Long March-5 rocket carried Tianwen-1, an orbiter, lander and rover, to Mars

The month of the robotic invasion of Mars is upon us. Seven months ago, the United States, China, and the United Arab Emirates launched missions on a 300 million mile (480 million kilometer) journey to Mars.
Last week, two of the three missions quietly arrived and inserted themselves into Mars orbit. The final spacecraft to arrive, NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance mission, however, will not go gently into the Martian atmosphere.
