A PROBE into school uniform costs has found some families are cutting back on food to pay clothing bills. Stockton Council has urged schools to review their uniform policies “as a matter of urgency” after finding high costs are putting an increased burden on parents. Cllr Steve Nelson told cabinet colleagues how he himself had suffered “uniform segregation” in the 1960s at a meeting on Thursday.
