The Dell was a compact stadium and opposing teams often found the atmosphere intimidating. The pitch was bombed November 30, 1940, creating an 18-foot crater in the Milton Road penalty area. Svensson in Saints debut on catwalk ANDERS Svensson makes his first appearance for Saints this evening as the star of the show at the launch of the club s new away kit. It will be unveiled on a special catwalk outside Marks and Spencer on the lower level of the WestQuay shopping centre at 5pm. Matthew Le Tissier, James Beattie, Jason Dodd and other first-team players will be modelling the kit. But the main attraction, apart from the shirt itself, will be Svensson who arrived on the south coast yesterday.
