Possible Bomb Threat in Beverly Hills Investigated

BEVERLY HILLS (CNS) - Operations were back to normal this morning at the Beverly Hills Police Department after a bomb scare prompted the partial evacuation of the building.
Authorities learned of the threat about 8 p.m. Monday in the area of Rexford Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard, near the police headquarters and City Hall, according to Beverly Hills police.
Part of the building was evacuated as officers checked for suspicious devices, CBS2 reported.
Vehicles and the department headquarters were searched, Lt. Max Subin told the Beverly Hills Courier.
The department gave the all clear about 11:20 p.m.

Traffic along multiple blocks in Beverly Hills is jammed as police try to negotiate with the driver of a vehicle that had led officers on a pursuit.
Lt. Max Subin, a spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department, said the driver of a car that was stolen in Beverly Hills had been pursued by the police before crashing into another vehicle.
He said that a SWAT team is negotiating with the suspect to exit the car and that parts of Wilshire Boulevard and Doheny Drive are closed because of the police activity.

A woman was shot in the leg during a robbery attempt and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police and eyewitnesses.

The shooting was reported at 2:09 p.m. at the restaurant at Canon Drive and Brighton Way. According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, three male suspects demanded property from another patron. One of the suspects opened fire, striking the woman, and all three suspects fled on foot.

Acting Captain Max Subin of the Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed to Fox News that the chart-topping artist, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was arrested at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Rodeo Drive while he was out with a group of males.
"Beverly Hills Police Officers responded to the 300 block of Rodeo Drive after store security called 911 of [sic] a group of male subjects walking southbound on Rodeo Drive. They reported that one of the subjects had a weapon in his waistband while in the store," the police spokesman shared with Fox News in a written statement.
