A NEW mayor of Romsey has been officially appointed as councillor Janet Burnage stepped down from her role. Councillor Karen Dunleavey, who represents Romsey Tadburn on the town council, was appointed at the annual Mayor Making ceremony on Tuesday, May 18. BRADFORD’S new Lord Mayor was handed his chains of office on the stage of the Alhambra Theatre today. Manningham Councillor Shabir Hussain took on the role at the first physical meeting of Bradford Council since March 2020.
