The road to Robinsons Island in P.E.I. has been closed since post-tropical storm Fiona swept through the park, causing major damage, and it’s not going to reopen

Some North Shore residents are growing increasingly concerned about the risk of fire posed by trees downed by post-tropical storm Fiona, including those in Prince Edward Island National Park.

The Prince Edward Island National Park will reopen to visitors for the 2023 season, but people will notice dramatic changes to the shoreline and infrastructure because of damage from post-tropical storm Fiona.

Three new trails looping around the P.E.I. National Park's Cavendish Campground will be available on weekends starting this Sunday until March 20 as part of a pilot project.
