A rising number of seniors in Prince Edward Island are feeling the pinch of poverty, and demand for both provincial and community services is as high as it's ever been.
The province’s seniors navigator is working flat out to connect older Islanders with programs that can help them afford things like groceries, electricity and gas.
Some Island seniors say they are grateful to be resuming more activities outside the home, but hope the province takes a cautious approach to lifting the remaining public health restrictions.
