Four govt. high schools upgraded as higher secondary schools in Erode

The Government Order to upgrade four government high schools in the district as higher secondary schools was issued here recently.
During the Assembly session on March 13, 2020, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami had announced that 50 high schools in the State would be upgraded as higher secondary schools. According to the announcement, one school each at Osur in Anthiyur Union, Kottamalam in Talavadi Union, Nanjappa Goundan Valasu in Erode Union and Odathurai in Bhavani Union were upgraded this academic year. The schools in Osur and Kottamalam are located in hill areas.
As per the Government Order 11 of the School Education Department dated January 18, 2021, the upgraded schools will have a headmaster and nine post graduate teachers for Tamil, English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, science, economics and accountancy. Birbhum (West Bengal) [India], January 15 (ANI): About a month after Trinamool Congress (TMC) heavyweight Suvendu Adhikari, along with several other leaders across party lines, switched over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), another TMC leader and Member of Parliament Satabdi Roy on Thursday indicated she felt some people do not want her in the party.
In a social media post on her Satabdi Roy Fan Club Facebook page, the actor turned politician said the reason behind her absence in party programmes in her constituency, Birbhum, is because she is not informed about the schedules in advance. ....

Birbhum (West Bengal) [India], January 15 (ANI): Ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) party leaders have become vocal against their own party. Starting from TMC Minister Rajeeb Banerjee, Baishali Dalmia and now TMC MP from Birbhum Satabdi Roy has raised her grievances against the party through her Facebook Post.
Though she said she is facing problems in the ruling TMC but added that she will not join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) . She will be visiting New Delhi on Saturday.
Her Facebook account named Satabdi Roy Fans Club post stated that I am with the people of my Constituency but some people don t want me to reach to you all. I am even not informed about the Party programmes so how can I participate. Stay well I will inform you all on January 16 at 2 pm if I take any further decisions. ....

Delhi HC stays CIC orders to disclose details of release, utilisation of MPLADS fund | India News

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court Tuesday stayed two CIC orders directing the Centre to disclose on its website the MP-wise, constituency-wise and work-wise details, with names of beneficiaries of works undertaken under the MPLAD scheme.
Justice Navin Chawla put on hold the two orders by the Central Information Commission (CIC) on two separate pleas moved by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation through central government senior panel counsel Rahul Sharma and advocate C K Bhatt.
The court, which heard the matter physically instead of via video conference, also issued notice to the RTI applicants on whose separate pleas the two CIC orders were passed and sought their stand on the ministry s petitions, Bhatt said. ....
