BATAVIA — Batavia First Methodist Church switched from a Cookie Walk to a Cookie Cruise as a fundraiser this year due to COVID-19 and the effort seemed to pay off Saturday, a church employee said. First Methodist Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator Sandy Trimmer and her daughter, Emily, were bringing cookie orders to people who drove up to the church.
