So we really have to do something. we are past the time where we should be doing something. thursday s hearing was about finding bipartisan solutions to gun violence. and it gives you an unfortunate preview of what we will be facing with the new congress when the two witnesses called by the minority. when you are somebody who saw that all of grand violence is the fault of children and fatherless homes and the second one was basically the nra s favorite status, whose methodology s and conclusions have been deepened time after time for the last several decades. so it does not appear that we have serious interest on the other side and pursuing actual solutions to gun violence and my part of the hearing. i tried to highlight the fact that you know, one republican say we have to enforce the laws that are on the books, great. we have good laws respecting who should be able to buy a gun and under what circumstances they can be sold to them. we only have 2600 employees and ....

Raffensperger is now all of a sudden saying oh, we should get rid of this because it s a burden on election officials. this has been a burden on election official since the beginning but that is a trade-off that republicans have been willing to make in order to disenfranchise black voters. so get rid of the runoffs, 100 percent. call them out for 1000 percent. i m glad you ended there. i totally. agree in some ways it looks like i m trying to solve a rubik s cube. well we lost that one, what if we shorten the time? oh, yeah okay. there is a strange, you see it in this thing the republicans have, largely, and you and i have discussed, this flagrant big lie kind of thing except for kari lake, people basically saying we lost. there s still a weird feeling about methodology, the timing, whether the ballots come in the mail and it s like, it s just a question of empowering people to vote. ....
