Ambassador mcphaul, always good to see you. how do you read these mixed signals? >> i think the trump administration has one policy toward russia and president trump has a different policy toward russia. they are pushing back. they are responding to russian aggressive behavior and basically doing what the obama administration did, by the way. there's a lot of continuity in terms of actual policy. the president himself doesn't want to criticize putin. he has a theory that if he could just get together with putin and talk to them, they could get along. as a result you have a real disconnect, one...
