The Annual West Salem Community Thanksgiving Dinner 2021 will be on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 25, 2021. Serving will be from 11:30 until 1:00 in the Hauser Room of the Moravian Church. Dr. Nicole Fyie has tendered her resignation from Fairfield Memorial Hospital and Horizon Healthcare. Unverified reports surfaced yesterday saying she was escorted out of the hospital, but FMH Administration said this morning that was not the case. Dr. Fyie "remains part of the organization" through her resignation period, which ends January 2nd. The first installment of Wayne County Property Tax Bills is due Friday, according to county Treasurer Donna Masterson. The second installment is due November 29th. The Fairfield City Council met last night and revised the liquor ordinance to clarify definitions and descriptions for establishments selling alcohol. Several appointments were confirmed, as well, including Bryan Williams to the Police Pension Board; Andrew Miller to the Fire Pension Board; Cody Atteberry, Mark Turner, and Nicki Roethe to the Zoning Board; and Carrie Halbert to the Recreation Committee. 26-year-old Kendall L. Einhorn was taken to Clay County Hospital after a single-vehicle accident near Enterprise yesterday morning. Wayne County deputies say he was northbound on Enterprise Road, ramped off a ditch embankment, went airborne over a county roadway, and came to rest after striking another embankment. A tow truck was called to the scene, and the vehicle sustained over $1,500 damage.
