Last week, 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka was publicly acknowledged in the Canadian House of Commons. Introduced by House Speaker Anthony Rota during an event featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Hunka was commended as a dual hero, both Ukrainian and Canadian, who fought against the Russians during the Second World War. Binded by russophobia and support of Ukraine, the whole parliament, including from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave two long and hearty standing ovations to Hunka. Zelensky also waived his fist in the air in support of Hunka.
