The nonprofit is picking up the slack left when the former Lorain County Habitat for Humanity lost its affiliation agreement with Habitat for Humanity International.
The organization on Tuesday morning, Jan. 25, announced that John Habat intends to remain in his current role until October and then will fully retire in early January 2023. The nonprofit said its board 'has outlined a search process that anticipates an overlapping transition between Habat and the incoming president/CEO, to assure a smooth transfer of responsibility and to leverage his deep knowledge and experience.'
