Michael Ulriksen, Humboldt’s director of community and leisure services, said the project is a collaboration between the city and the curling club. “In the curling rink we got a centre walkway that runs down and splits the six sheets of ice into three. It comes in and out every year as we pull the ice and then use the facility for other activities,” Ulriksen said. “Just being in and out over the years put that centre walkway into disrepair, so we’ve been talking over the last couple years about getting that replaced.” The total cost of the work is estimated to be between $10,0...
