In Philadelphia, there's a unique program unlike almost any other in the country, dedicated to helping queer and trans people find affordable housing.
Joining a GSA can be a life-saver for queer or trans students. The school groups provide a safe space for kids to figure out their identity, and help adults provide support, but only 12 of Philly’s public high schools are listed as having them out of more than 200.
