The Gov. George Clinton Elementary School student was feeling overwhelmed by her first day back in school. For more than five months, Poughkeepsie City School District students have been learning remotely; it s the last district in Dutchess County to return students to the school buildings. But on the first day of hybrid learning on Monday, Lopez-Ortiz was the only student inside Jasmine Davidson’s first-grade classroom. Of the 20 students in the class, four opted-in for hybrid learning, but three of them did not show up. ....
