Pandemic puts Peace Corner protests on pause
In October 2002, a group of local anti-war activists started standing in protest every Friday afternoon at the corner of Linden and Carpinteria avenues. Eventually, people started calling the spot âPeace Corner,â and the name stuck. A few weeks ago, on Jan. 22, the group was out for the last time this year.
