Royals fall to Caravel 78-70
Basketball is back Dan Cook January 13, 2021 The delayed winter sports season kicked off Jan. 11 with the Delmarva Christian boys’ basketball squad making a trip north to play Caravel Academy. The Royals’ fell in a close 78-70 masked contest. The Bucs came out hot, jumping to a quick 15-9 lead. The halftime break found the Bucs up 34-26. The Royals outscored Caravel 19-18 in the third, and narrowed the deficit to two in the fourth quarter, but they ultimately fell 78-70 in the final minute. Jayson Handy led the Royals with 17 points.
