An Upstate teen was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Spartanburg County, according to Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, with South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Though traffic deaths were down 12 percent in South Carolina last year, Greenville County has seen a 32 percent increase since 2019.
The pedestrian was trying to cross the road when they were hit.
According to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, the crash happened around 3 p.m. on Rembert Church Road about 12 miles south of Bishopville.
