BHUBANESWAR: The revenue and disaster management department has asked the district collectors to emulate Ganjam’s ‘Rajaswa Ratha’ model across the state to provide revenue-related services to people’s doorsteps during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The Rajaswa Ratha programme is an innovative programme to provide revenue-related services to the citizens in a hassle-free manner during the pandemic. It can be considered as a best practice for good governance and should be emulated in all districts,” state revenue secretary Bishnupada Sethi said in a letter to the district collectors.
The Ganjam administration has recently started the Rajaswa Ratha programme as part of which the tehsil or revenue department officials go from door to door in a vehicle to collect applications and documents for mutations and various certificate services and for distribution of record of rights (pattas) and such other certificates.
