The extension will be 6.6 miles northward from Hero Way to north of SH 29 in Liberty Hill. The project will include two tolled lanes in both directions, located mainly within the existing median of the US 183 corridor, with an adjacent shared-use path from Hero Way to Seward Junction Loop. Developers also received approval from the CCRFC for $3.5 million from the PILOT extension fund — set aside to fund parking projects — to pay for the public parking at the project. The Memphis City Council also approved the use of PILOT extension funds for public parking at the project.
