With the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive kicking off on Monday, BJP has asked its MPs and MLAs aged 60 and above and those in the 45-59 age bracket with co-morbidities to get inoculated within a week.

On a day the government opened up the
Covid-19 inoculation drive for senior citizens, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said the vaccine should be given to youngsters first.
When asked if he would get vaccinated, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha told ANI, "I am above 70 years of age. You should give it (Covid-19 vaccine) to youngsters who have a longevity in life as opposed to me. I merely have 10-15 more years to live."

Lucknow: Amid vaccine rollout across the country, former Samajwadi Party minister Pandit Singh has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be the first one to take COVID-19 vaccine. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event, Singh said that like other world leaders, PM should also take the vaccine shots first.
"Our leader's stand is the view of the common people. In the US, Donald Trump took the vaccine. In Russia, it was the President's daughter. It should be the same here (Sic)," Singh said when asked about whether he will take a vaccine shot.
