i think the way we look at it in pennsylvania, testing is part of an overall assessment with what is happening with your young people. you look at the tests. you look at the grades. you look at the other means and techniques used to assess the student achievement and you can modulate what is happening in the classroom and modulate what is doing with the student to get to the standards we want. you are a big advocate of this. why is it we are hearing as we saw in the pieces so many parents and educators who are saying this is not a good thing for students. this is equal to stress inducing. this does not encourage deep learning or deep thinking. why is this kind of language being associated with standardized tests? what i think is important is ....
