Bushra Ibnauf Sulieman was an American doctor and gastroenterologist devoted to treating the poor in Sudan. He treated the city's wounded after battles between two rival Sudanese commanders erupted in Khartoum. He directed the medical faculty at the University of Khartoum, founded and directed a doctor's humanitarian group, and helped organize and drive medicine and supplies to Sudan's countryside.
