Man who punched a woman in condo parking lot detained and charged

KUALA LUMPUR: A 58-year-old man has been detained and charged with assaulting a woman in Desa Petaling.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon said the man had assaulted the 27-year-old victim at a parking lot of a condominium in Desa Petaling on Dec 16.
We believe it was caused by a misunderstanding between the two individuals.
The suspect was detained the same night and charged the next day under Section 323 of the Penal Code for assault, he said when contacted Friday (Dec 18).
The suspect, who runs a restaurant, has since been convicted and fined RM2,000 for the offence, he added. ....
