The Islamic Fiqh Council condemned on Tuesday abuse and violations against Muslims. The 23rd edition of the Council, which is affiliated with the Muslim World League (MWL), convened in the Saudi capital Riyadh for three days of meetings that tackled latest developments and emerging issues. The event brought together senior clerics and scholars from across the Islamic world and non-Muslim countries. In its concluding statement, the Council condemned the abuses against Muslims and their sanctities that it viewed as a fight against Islam.

The Muslim World League and Organization of Islamic Conference signed on Friday a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the outcomes of the "Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects" global conference. The MoU hopes to translate the charter adopted by the conference into executive programs that will benefits Muslims around the world. It was signed by MWL Secretary General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa and OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha in Jeddah.
