9 health facilities get examination beds and other room furniture in Plashbari 268 GAIBANDHA, JAN 20, 2021 (BSS) – One community clinic and nine Union Health and Family Welfare Centres (UH&FWCs) under Palashbari upazila in the district yesterday got examination beds for the patients, chairs for waiting rooms, ceiling fans, plastic chair tables, chairs with foam from the Local Government Support project (LGSP) being implemented by the respective union parishads of the upazila. A simple function was also held at the conference room of Palashbari upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) with UNO Kamruzzaman Nayan in the chair. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest and upazila chairman AKM Moksed Chowdhury Bidyuit and deputy director of the department of Family Planning Saiful Islam were present at the event as the special guests. ....
Construction of brick-built houses for homeless being built in Palashbari 229 GAIBANDHA, Dec 15, 2020, (BSS) – Construction works of brick-built houses with having sheds by corrugated iron (CI) sheets are being built for homeless people in Palashbari upazila of the district. Upazila administration is implementing the works under the Ashrayan Project-2 taken by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Each of the houses is being built at the cost of one lakh and 71 thousands Taka, said an official. On Monday, deputy commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin visited the under construction houses at Chandipur village under Mohdipur union of the upazila. During the visit, Abdul Matin told reporters that the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took initiative to provide houses to all homeless people of the country marking the Mujib Year. ....
