All these different icons. theyjust represent the different objects in here. so you ve got pumps, valves, reactors and stirrer. so this down here is the reactor and the stirrer and all the pumps and the valves and they re all connected together by these white lines which represents this tubing. and so we connect it all up in virtual reality so we can check it. and we could even do a simulation before we actually do the chemistry for real. to control the chemputer, we actually use like an internet router and the input chemicals are taken up. you can see these pumps and valves are moving. we take this blue solution and we put it into this separator here where you can see the orange solution and we then basically take a video of that using an infrared spectrometer which looks at colour changes and can tell us if the molecules have been chemputed gone from the starting molecules to the end molecules that we need. ....
