Sligo's Summerhill College's new all-weather pitches officially opens
Summerhill College marked an important milestone on Friday when Bishop Kevin Doran, Bishop of Elphin and Patron of the college officially opened and blessed its new all-weather pitch. At a special ceremony, attendees - including students, parents/guardians, past pupils, benefactors, local politicians and representatives of sporting organisations - were overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the facility and its beautiful setting with the backdrop of Ben Bulben.
