Monsoon Rains In India: Rains usually lash Kerala state, on the country's southwest coast, from around June 1 and cover the whole country by mid-July.
The south-westerly winds are yet to strengthen enough to ensure the arrival of monsoon in Kerala, the weather department has said. Things will improve only June 1 onwards, they said.
