A ROMSEY girl received a surprise act of kindness after her treasured doll was destroyed by vandals. Lucy Treglown was with her mum, Maxine, at Abbotswood Playground, Moore Close, when she accidentally left her Belle doll behind on December 12. The five-year-old was without her doll for only an hour when Maxine's friend discovered the toy with its head smashed open at around 6pm. However, one man helped restore Lucy's faith in humanity after he invited the pair to Kimbridge Barn for a free brunch, before Santa gave her a brand new Belle doll on Saturday.
