A Lakeville man was charged Tuesday with two counts of second-degree murder after allegedly killing and dismembering his pregnant sister.

Police were called to the Higher Ground Catholic Charities shelter near downtown Minneapolis around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report of an unresponsive child. Officers found the two-year-old unresponsive in a room with drug paraphernalia around her.

This summer, the Minnesota Humanities Center is sponsoring a series of improv shows around the state with the hope of helping communities work together on the issues that divide them.
