Still a nice day for today's holiday weather, but the humidity continues to rise and eventually showers will move back in too....

The wind will die down late tonight leading into a fantastic Sunday TUCSON - The windy conditions will stay in place for the rest of Saturday, but Sunday the winds will calm. We have been dealing with a south wind for the last few days that has been gusting as high as 35-40 mph. Starting tomorrow we will see more of a northerly wind that will not be nearly as strong. This wind shift will also keep our temperatures cool. Afternoon temperatures in Tucson will top out in the upper 80's. We will be back in the 90's for high temperatures by Monday.

Breezy conditions will take over Southern Arizona Consistent winds will range between 10-25 depending on elevation. We do not have any fire danger warnings in effect currently, but those same precautions should still be taken. A stagnant low pressure center to our west has caused this stretch of warm temperatures, but it has been slowly dying for a few days. Windy conditions will start to back off by the end of the day tomorrow TUCSON - The Red Flag Warning issued for Sunday will expire and will not be renewed for Monday. Wind gusts of 30 mph remain possible. Consistent winds around the Tucson area could peak around 15-20 mph on Monday afternoon with higher values expected in Santa Cruz and Cochise counties especially in areas with a high elevation.
