KUNINGAN - Kampung Cireundeu berada di lembah antara Gunung Kunci, Gunung Cimenteng dan Gunung Gajah Langu. Secara administratif, masuk wilayah Kelurahan Leuwigajah, Kecamatan Cimahi Selatan Kota Cimahi, Jawa Barat.
Warga masih menerapkan aturan adat dan menjalankan ajaran Pangeran Madrais. Warga Cireundeu mulai mengenal Pangeran Madrais (Cigugur) sejak tahun 1918.
Hingga kini, falsafah hidup masyarakat Cireundeu belum banyak berubah sejak puluhan tahun lalu.
Seorang Antropolog Belanda, menyebut ajaran Madrais dengan sebutan Agama Djawa Sunda (ADS). Yakni kepercayaan sejumlah masyarakat yang tersebar di daerah Cigugur, Kabupaten Kuningan. Termasuk juga di Cireundeu.
Agama ini dikenal juga sebagai Cara Karuhun Urang (tradisi nenek moyang), agama Sunda Wiwitan, ajaran Madrais atau agama Cigugur. ....
